Something’s brewing at EHS

Ms. Taylor Hill, along with special needs students of room 156, opened Coffee Cats September 7, as a gourmet coffee shop serving Enterprise High School.

Hill describes the Coffee Cats  as “a business that [they] run in [their] classroom to sell coffee to faculty and staff.”

Their mission in this endeavor is for the students to learn valuable job and life skills in hopes that one day they will demonstrate what they have been taught through this program in a career such as baristaing.

Coffee Cats boasts a variety of alluring coffee blends and specialty drinks.

Coffee costs $1 for a regular blend, or $2 for specialty drinks, which include hot chocolate, the “Wildcat Latte,” the “Snickers Latte,” “Our Special Blend,” the “Nutella Latte,” the “Skinny Cat,” and the “Daily Grind.”

Proceeds fund the purchasing of the ingredients for the coffee and class field trips, which include going bowling and shopping, but they are wanting to also visit the rehabilitation center in Dothan as well as WTVY to explore different career pathways.

The Coffee Cats deliver on Friday mornings during first block, but EHS staff can pop by the classroom anytime during school to purchase a regular brew.

Teachers can fill out their coffee order forms online via Google Docs or e-mail.
