Kickoff the Wildcat season
The EHS Wildcats 2018 football season started August 24; with a new wave of perspectives and experiences, the team hopes to have a great season.
During their off season the Wildcats worked hard by doing 7-on-7 tournaments and hosting organized team activities to prepare for the season.
“Our players understand that if you don’t come out and work [and] give your best effort… things can go right [or] things can go wrong,” David Faulkner, head football coach, said.
Coach Faulkner hopes to push the team, allowing them to give their best effort and show improvement every week on the field.
To highlight the team’s and an individual’s improvement Coach Faulkner chooses players to be recognized as players of the week.
“We look at their stats a little bit,” Coach Faulkner said, “and who had a big effect on the game or play how we teach them.”
Being recognized as a player of the week Maurice Hicks, running back, said that he’s looking forward to playing all games with the same effort.
With the season halfway over Coach Faulkner would like to thank the student body and community.
“We truly appreciate our student body and our faculty and how much support they give us,” Coach said, “but its really about the students and community who come out that make those nights special.”
