Hurricane Michael damages Southeast
Hurricane Michael wreaks havoc Oct. 10 on Gulf Coast and Southeastern U.S.
Hurricane Michael damaged the South physically and emotionally, damaging trees, destroying homes, collapsing buildings, and flooding roads, especially in Panama City, Mexico Beach, and Apalachicola, Florida.
Watching the weather closely the weekend before, the school board decided to cancel school on October 10th and October 11th for the safety of students and staff.
For extra safety and precaution, the EHS storm shelter was being used by people from all over town.
The families who directly encountered the storm and suffered loss are in our thoughts.
The people of Enterprise can easily empathize with those affected due to the heartbreaking tornado of 2007 and the way it changed this town and people.
EHS will be collecting monetary donations for Bay County Schools and the American Red Cross in efforts to help the recovery from the hurricane.
If you are interested in donating, you can do so in the main office.
People of Enterprise are very fortunate that Hurricane Michael did not do drastic damage to our little town, and we are glad to say we still have Enterprise High School.
