Pink out pep rally

A Pink Out pep rally October 19 showed the school’s support for breast cancer awareness month.

Students were encouraged to wear pink and buy pink pom poms from the cheerleaders during lunch.  The money from the pom poms was donated to the National Cancer Association to help find a cure.

Throughout the month of October, many different organizations show their support. The cheerleaders wear pink bows and pink cancer tattoos, auxiliary wears pink bows, and the cross country team wears pink ribbons.

The fight against breast cancer holds a special place in the hearts of the students and staff here since one of our very own teachers, Sheila Bailey, won the fight and is now cancer free.

Mrs.Bailey was honored at the pink out pep rally, which helped raise awareness for breast cancer
