Halloween normal style

You woke up on Halloween day; everything was set for a wonderful day. You had planned on dressing up fully and going to a fundraiser that was held locally for the kids in the community to trick-or-treat. You worked with Charlie on your costume and would be meeting her there. She was Hermione while you were to be her cat. Her idea, not yours. The only hitch in your plan was that you had not told the boys that you were celebrating the one day that, as a hunter, you were supposed to hate, just on principle.

“Hey!“ Dean exclaimed as you walked into the library. “What are you doing?”

“What do you mean?” you asked defensively.

“It’s an off day,” Dean chuckled.

“No, hunt?” you asked. You’d been expecting a hunt to pull the boys away so you didn’t have to lie. “Where’s Sam?”

“Enjoying his off day,” Dean said in a duh tone.

“What will you be doing?” you asked, sitting in the chair next to him.

“You know… enjoying.”

“I don’t know what that means.”

“I’m going to watch old movies, okay?” he replied defensively himself.

“That sounds nice.”

“What are you going to do?” he asked.

“I’m going to meet Charlie and have a movie marathon,” you lied.

“Really? Would she want to bring it here?”

You felt terrible to tell him no, but you also didn’t want to let Charlie down. She was really excited.

“I can ask,” you finally replied.

“It’s okay, if you don’t want to,” Dean said.

“No!” you replied. “Um,” You then sighed, deciding to tell you the truth. “Dean, we planned on going out for Halloween at the community trick-or-treat. We had our costumes all planned out, and I was hoping that you and Sam would be out on a hunt.”

Dean stood up and started to pace the room.

“I’m so sorry, Dean,” you told him.

“Don’t be sorry, I’m just trying to figure out…”

You cringed, not want to hear what could possibly come out of his mouth.

“What costume I could come up with in this short amount of time,” he finished with a huge smile.

“I do,” you smiled back.

That night you showed up with Dean as Hermione’s cat and Harry Potter. It was difficult to get Dean in those robes, but you were so satisfied that you actually got him to wear them.

“Oh. My. God.” you heard Charlie say. “Dean Winchester!” She exclaimed.

“Hi, Charlie,” he said with a chuckle.

“They are going to love you!” Charlie exclaimed.

“Who?” Dean asked you.

“Did I not mention this was for kids?” you asked ironically, walking away with Charlie and Dean chasing your heels.
