Even guests bring food
You were in the Malfoy Manor, staying for Thanksgiving. You had brought the tradition over to your friends from Hogwarts from your hometown in the USA when you moved to England with your Hogwarts acceptance letter. As to why you were in the Malfoy Manor, well, you had become good friend with Draco. No matter what your house was, you would be friends with Draco. To you, Draco was a totally different person compared to how he was with almost every other person.
“What are you doing?” The man of your thoughts asked.
“I was actually waiting for you.”
“Really?”
“Yes, you know that we are going to go to the Weasleys to celebrate Thanksgiving; and since they’re doing the bulk of the cooking, we need to bring something with us.”
“Do we?” He asked with a groan.
“Yes, even guests bring food.”
You took his arm and dragged him into the kitchen.
“So what are we even going to do?” Draco asked.
“We’re going to bake! What else would we do?” You asked sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes and sat down on a stool at the bar.
“Draco, you have to help,” You told him, gathering ingredients for homemade brownies and pumpkin pie.
“Why? You are the one who knows all of these things.”
“What a nice compliment,” You said sarcastically, “But you have to help; otherwise, I’ll leave you here, and I’ll go myself. Now that would leave a great impression.”
Draco sighed. He knew what you said was right. He wanted to make amends with the Weasleys for all he had done to them, Harry, and Hermione. He had to at this point in your friendship. You were his American mudblood best friend.
Draco stood from his seat and walked over, taking control of the pumpkin pie making.
“Taking the pie?” You asked.
“Why wouldn’t I? Pumpkin is kind of a delicacy of us Brits.”
You started to laugh, and he slowly started to join in.
You started to whisk up some eggs when suddenly a white cloud filled around you. You shot a glare towards Draco who was covered with flour all over his hands as well as all over you.
“Draco Malfoy,” You said as calmly as you could.
You took the bowl of eggs and quickly tossed them onto him.
He failed to avoid your attack then you both started going back and forth throwing ingredients at each other. The food fight ended when the clock struck twelve and you realized you were late for your train and there was no way to get another ride to be on time to be at the Weasleys.
“Should we go anyway?” Draco asked.
“Do we look like we could go anywhere?” You laughed.
He took in your appearances and laughed, “No, I don’t think so.”
“What do you two think you are doing?!” A one Mr. Malfoy screeched.
Draco stood in front of you and pushed you towards the door. “Go,” He told you.
“You can’t face your father alone,” You told him.
“Of course I can,” He said, “I have for all of my life.”
“Draco!”
You stayed with Draco the entire lecture and through all the cleaning until suddenly the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione came to your rescue with the entire Thanksgiving feast they had prepared. You all ate together, and you knew Draco had redeemed himself in the eyes of the Gryffindors.
