Military Appreciation

EHS honored retired and active duty military November 15 at the Military Appreciation Night.

November is the month where people recognize and thank the United States military.

The high school continued their new tradition by having a program dedicated to the families of military personnel.

The program was student-oriented and began with the posting of the colors by the high school’s JROTC program.

Many students from the high school, as well as elementary and jr. high schools, gave speeches during the program.

Two students from the high school, Sydni Demby and Regan Kliethermes, gave speeches on behalf of the S2S Club and Wildcat Reps during the program,

“I want to thank all the families that have served and continue to serve in the military” Regan Kliethermes said during her speech, “It’s because of you that we get to live in a free country.”

The program also offered performances from Dauphin Jr. High’s show choir and the elementary school choirs from Enterprise and Fort Rucker, who sang patriotic songs.

Towards the end of the program, there was a video of military children that attend schools in Enterprise.

The students talked about how thankful they are for the military and how blessed they are to have amazing role models like the soldiers in their lives.
