Out of time

The EHS student body have all, at some time during their high school career, experienced trouble with managing their time.

As a young adult, you may begin to pick up activities you once didn’t have to worry about fitting into your schedule as a child.

A lot of students are involved in extracurricular activities such as football, cheer-leading, or band on top of a variety of clubs that the school offers.

While participating in these clubs/activities may be fun, it can be difficult to divide up your time among other important tasks like homework, projects, or study time.

Softball player Brittnay Womack experiences the same struggles when it comes to school work.

Luckily, she has found a way to balance her time.

“The best way for me to manage my time is to complete my work during class,” Womack said.

By completing homework in class, students are able to devote time to both school and extracurriculars.

“Since practice runs late, completing homework in class is the only way for me to get a decent amount of sleep once I get home,” senior KJ Couch said.

It is easy to get overwhelmed if students don’t find a schedule that works for them early on.

The more you stay ahead, the easier it is to relax when the opportunity presents itself.
