EHS takes on National FFA Convention
Our school’s FFA organization competed in the 92nd National FFA Convention October 30- November 2 in Indianapolis.
FFA members from around the U.S. gathered together to meet new people and share their different experiences from their school.
All of the students share a love for agriculture and leadership.
Categories EHS competed in were Extemporaneous Speaking, Floriculture, and the talent competition.
Jordan Stowe was elected the 2018- 2019 southern region vice president.
Junior Hanna Riley said, “Throughout the week I attended many sessions or official meetings where you listen to the national officers and other keynote speakers who share very important messages and about their experiences. At the very last session, everyone will be gathered to witness the new six upcoming national FFA officers.”
Advisers Mr. and Mrs. Dyess teach agriscience classes, keep their club full of engaging activities, and dedicate their time to help their students become strong leaders.
“It’s not only about meetings, speeches, and competition. My wonderful advisers took us to many cool places and took a lot of pictures to cherish all the fun times and laughs we shared,” Riley said.
