EHS awards Mr. Britt Educator of the Year
Assistant Principal Ricky Britt was recently awarded Educator of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year at Enterprise High School.
The Educator of the Year award is given to a teacher or administrator that exceeds basic standards to help students achieve their goals.
Mr. Britt has been an assistant principal at Enterprise High School since 2007, after moving between Dauphin Junior High School and the high school.
He started off at Dauphin in 1989, then came to the high school, then went back to Dauphin, and is now back at EHS.
When asked how he felt about winning the award, he responded with words such as “humbling” and “gratifying.”
He also said, “I expected a teacher to win it, but anyways it’s a great accomplishment.”
Mr. Britt was chosen as the Educator of the Year because he loves seeing kids at the high school flourish and develop and is always ready to help any student out or assist a student with a problem.
He said, “I love seeing kids go from 9th grade all the way to 12th grade; I love seeing them grow.”
When asked with what legacy he wants to leave at the high school, he said, “Everyone needs to respect each other, especially with how diverse we are today.”
