Enterprise hosts city pep rally

The city of Enterprise gathered downtown Aug. 24 to motivate athletes from each school in the district.

The Big Blue Band kicked off the event with the traditional Fight Song, bringing together EHS, Dauphin Junior High School, and Coppinville Junior high school to form a united student body within the community.

Why is the community pep rally so crucial to starting the athletic season? As EHS teacher Mrs. Bailey said, “For one evening we are all Enterprise natives celebrating what makes Enterprise great…the people and the programs we are known for.”

Athletic Director Mr. Trawick recognized each school and their athletes, and along with the Big Blue Band, cheerleaders, and auxiliary, the community showed their support for the students and coaches, who work tirelessly to represent Enterprise City Schools, all while bystanders lined Main Street decked out in Wildcat colors.

Mrs. Bailey summed it up when she said, “The excitement is contagious and the pride in the air is palpable…the unwavering commitment from the community is what this event is all about.”
