
Shining light for Wildcat sports
The Lady Cats of the volleyball court have had a record year.
The Lady Cats went into the playoffs ranked 11st in their region and 7th in the 7A division (MAXPREPS Sports).
Lead by seniors Elizabeth Chancey, Jaina O’Conner, Anna Catherine Miller, and Meredith Ward, the Lady Cats met the women of “Lee,” Montgomery, for the first round of the playoffs.
The Wildcats swept Lee in a three game match, outscoring their opponents 75-15 over the three games.
The Lady Cats then moved on to the first round of the regional playoffs where they finished runner up at the South Regional volleyball tournament in Montgomery. With this finish, they advanced to the state tournament as the #2 seed from the south.
EHS fell short in their state playoff game vs Oak Mountain. However, congratulations are due to Coach Wiggins, Coach White, Coach Moore and the EHS volleyball team on a successful season. The team played hard and represented EHS well
Next year should be another strong year for Enterprise. The Lady Cats will have two returning starters and a talented underclassmen group. Junior Mikaela Grubb, has already established herself as a standout player.
EHS Lady Cats have had a phenomenal year and plan on having a back-to-back season next year.
