Casey Doerer and Sam Sharp, co-editors-in-chief of Paw Prints, share some year end thoughts.
Note from the Editors
The end of every year is a time of joy, family, and new beginnings. Excitement fills the air as the new year dawns on us. We eagerly await the new year and new semester.
The excitement of Christmas time and a new year brings us all new opportunities. We look forward to the future and what it brings, but what about the year we have experienced? What have we learned? What have we gained and what have we lost?
At the end of every year, it is important to reflect on our past experiences and what got us to the position we are in now. We should realize the value of the lessons we have learned and how to build on them as well.
So, what have we learned? How can we capitalize on these lessons and make the most of 2018?
Many of us will see the year to come and immediately set new goals. It has become common for most of these goals to never come into fruition.
My advice: if you set a new goal- conquer it. Stay consistent with what you aim for!
Ambition is one of the greatest traits one can have. Do not let the New Year become boring or mundane, reach for new targets, and make this year the best one yet. Embrace the endless opportunities to fully maximize 2018!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the entire Paw Prints staff!
