Student planted into presidential position

EHS student, Summer Parker, was named June 8 President of Alabama FFA.

Those who ran for candidacy took part in interviews, an exam, and an application process in March that narrowed down the eligibility for each of the districts.

Summer Parker said, “The process was lengthy but I got to meet a lot of students interested in the same path of life that I am.”

Southern District candidate positions were announced June 8. Students from other school systems, Caitlyn Nolin, Destiny Hall, and Madison Stewart earned positions along with Enterprise’s own, Summer Parker.

The journey to holding a presidential position was one of hard work and endurance for Summer Parker.

As the nominated Alabama FFA State President, Summer said, “The determination it took for me to come this far is a constant theme I would like to prioritize in my year of leadership to come.”
