
Candy corn popcorn balls
This issue we are making a fun Halloween treat that is good for parties, get togethers, family snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons popcorn kernels
- ¼ cup peanut oil
- ½ cup sugar
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup candy corn
- ½ cup salted roasted peanuts
- 4 cups of mini marshmallows (about ⅔ of a 10-ounce bag)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
Directions:
First, you want to heat a large pot over medium-high heat, then add the popcorn kernels and peanut oil. When the oil start to sizzle a little bit, sprinkle the sugar over the kernels. Cover the pot with a tight fitting lid and shake the pot until the pooping slows down, which should take about 8 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and set the pot aside to cool off. Spread a large bowl with the cooking spray and add the popcorn, peanuts, and the candy corn. Second, combine the butter and marshmallows in a large pot over medium-high heat. Cook, while stirring, until melted and smooth with this it should take about 5 minutes. Third, pour the melted marshmallow mix over the popcorn mix and gently toss the popcorn mix to coat the popcorn mix. Fourth, coat your hands with cooking spray and shape the popcorn into 3-inch balls and set them aside to cool off. Lastly, serve and enjoy!
