Jalen Hurts leads the Tide
Alabama head coach Nick Saban, Dec. 1, became emotional at Jalen Hurts’ side while talking about Jalen’s comeback after the 35-28 win over Georgia.
Jalen Hurts, the former two-year starter, went from SEC offensive player of the year to backup quarterback but continued to work on becoming better so that he could come off the bench when his team needed him the most to win.
After being benched during last season’s national championship game, Hurts was faced with many options.
While almost anyone else would have transferred, Hurts stayed and worked on becoming a better quarterback and being there for his team.
Hurts made the comeback as he led his team to a win with a game-tying touchdown he threw to Jerry Jeudy and then the go-ahead touchdown he ran in with 1:09 remaining in the game.
Hurts made the huge comeback on the same field that he was taken off of last season and against the same team that shut him down in the National Championship game.
“He’s a winner. I mean, Jalen Hurts is a winner,” Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley said.
Jalen Hurts is a role model for not only young athletes but for all people in general.
His work ethic, good sportsmanship, and true character are qualities that everyone can look up to, and he is the definition of a team player.
