Light up Main Street

Families from all over Enterprise braved some of the coldest weather this year and gathered together November 27 to enjoy Christmas floats, holiday lights, and festive music, which enlivened the streets with holiday cheer.

Every year after Thanksgiving an annual Christmas parade is held in downtown Enterprise in which local businesses, sponsors, Miss Enterprise, athletes, and the band participates.

Involving many supporters and attendees, Light up Main Street is mainly sponsored by Mitchell Automotive.

With roughly 130 parade entries, the parade provides a merry opening to the holiday season.

Toward the end of the night, as the band flooded the streets with Christmas tunes, adults and small children began dancing and enjoying the Christmas spirit.

The parade culminates in the appearance of the season’s most beloved celebrity, Santa Clause, riding atop a brightly lit fire truck.

With hot chocolate in hand, the people of Enterprise return home from the freezing cold with a happy heart.
