Enterprise High School varsity volleyball team started off their season with a close match against Providence Christian School.
Varsity fell 3-2 against Providence, junior varsity won 2-1, and the freshman team won 2-0.
Senior Rhi Keck said “The game wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but we played our hardest and fought for each point.”
Keck had two aces and six digs for the Providence game.
Sophomore Olivia Holland led the JV game with two aces, three digs, and seven assists.
The Lady Cats defeated Charles Henderson at a home match in a 3-0 game and junior varsity with 2-0.
Head coach Janie Wiggins received her 600 win in the Charles Henderson match.
Senior Ali Wiggins added three aces and nine kills for the varsity game.
Makenna Kennedy led JV with one assist and seven aces.
The varsity and JV Cats traveled to Opp High School and returned with two wins, making varsity’s record 7-6 thus far in the season.
Keck said she has learned so much from the program and being her “last season at EHS breaks [her] heart because the girls on [her] team are not just [her] teammates but [her] family.”
