The kickoff to a new season
Enterprise kicked off the 2019 football season August 22 with the annual downtown pep rally.
Enterprise locals gathered for great food, fellowship, and to celebrate the start of a new season.
The tradition of the downtown pep rally started with members of the community coming together to support the new sports teams and their coaches.
Enterprise locals meet around the Boll Weevil Monument, participate in cheers from the high school and middle schools cheer-leading teams, and wrap up with a town favorite: the Alma Mater.
The event mainly focused on the football team, but it also gave recognition to the other sports teams, as well as the Big Blue Band.
“This pep rally is an event I look forward to [every] year. [It’s a] great way to fire up the teams,” said local citizen Michelle Cooper.
The pep rally hypes up the student body and encourages everyone to fill the football stadium to cheer on the Wildcats.
This event is not only a way to support the teams, it is a way to meet new people and grow closer as a community.
