Class of 2022 elect reps

Enterprise High School’s Class of 2022 voted October 22 for sophomore SGA representatives.

An assembly was held in the school PAC for the three sophomore candidates to deliver their speeches.

Students listened attentively as each campaigner voiced her goals and hopes for the student body.

Enterprise sophomore representative Isabella Holtz said, “I hope to bridge the gap between students and administration as well as ensure that the wants of every student [are] heard and taken into account.”

Sophomore representative Graciana Doster said, “I hope to achieve a student body that is closer to each other. I also would like to get the student body involved in extracurricular activities and to achieve more school spirit.”

Along with preparations for campaigning, the candidates put a lot of effort into their speeches.

Sophomore representative Bailey Byrd said, “In preparation for my speech I wanted to show my personality throughout the speech to people who do not know me personally. I also wanted to make sure my peers knew I would be a voice in representing them and listening to their opinions.”

After the speeches, Enterprise’s Student Government Association (SGA) sent a ballet through email to students through which they could vote for their choice of representatives.

The election ended with a three-way-tie between the candidates.

Isabella Holtz, Graciana Doster, and Bailey Byrd were elected as the Class of 2022 sophomore representatives.
