
Coming to an end
Enterprise High School varsity football team won their last home game of the season against Jefferson Davis, promising a memorable the Senior Night game.
The Wildcats defeated Jeff Davis 22-14, making varsity’s record 4-5.
Because of this win, the boys are playoff bound. This will be the first time in three years the Cats have gone to playoffs.
Senior Robert Ellis said, “The coaches made a lot of good calls and [they] were able to execute [the plays].”
A ceremony before the game recognized seniors on the football team, band, and cheer squad.
Ellis said because this is his last season, he “[feels] good being in the playoffs,” but the thought is “bittersweet for [him].”
EHS band senior Suneet Sharma said, “The thought of this being my final year slowly brings tears to my eyes.”
The band performed their “As You Wish” half-time show for the last home game.
“We got to end this season as Grand Champions with the Best in Class Percussion and Danceline.” Sharma said.
EHS football also defeated the Theodore Bobcats November 1, thus making their record 5-5 advancing into playoffs.
