
The Lady Cats go to state
The EHS varsity volleyball team competed October 29 at the state tournament in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Lady Cats began the tournament by facing off against the Hoover Buccaneers.
Though they lost the first match 25 -20, the Lady Cats did not lose heart.
“My team and I never gave up no matter what happened, we left everything out on the court and played straight from the heart,” outside hitter and middle back Adeline Thompson said.
The second set resulted in 25 points for the Buccaneers and 16 points for the Lady Cats.
The Lady Cats fought their way to victory in the third set, defeating the Buccaneers 25-23 .
In the fourth set, the Lady Cats lost to the Buccaneers, earning 16 points compared to Hoover’s 25 points.
“At the start of the season, we struggled a lot with finding a leadership, but by the end, the leaders stepped up in more ways than one,” Thompson said.
Above all, the Enterprise Wildcats volleyball team has completed their season with a winning record and a team spirit that cannot be conquered.
