Where do you stand?
Thanksgiving dinner usually consists of the basic turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, etc., but some students believe that other food items would make a great addition to the traditional meal.
Junior Cameron Emerson said “eggs” should be included in the typical Thanksgiving meal.
“Apple pie because everyone always eats pumpkin pie, and I don’t like pumpkin pie. Biscuits and sweet potato pie [as well],” junior Timora Kelley said.
“Pasta, [it] needs to be added to every meal,” junior Treasure Franklin said.
“Mac and cheese because I’m picky and that’s what I [like to] eat. [Specifically] Chick-Fil-A mac and cheese, but if I have to make it at home then Velveeta,” junior Kaylin Cichoki said.
“Waffles because why not?” freshman Kiley James said.
“Tortilla Espanola: [My teammate from Spain], Christina, made that one time. It was so good,” junior Jocelyn Jones said.
Other students think that the typical Thanksgiving meal is perfect just the way it is and shouldn’t be altered.
Junior Carson Cole doesn’t think anything should be added because “[the meal] is pretty well rounded.”
“I like tradition and don’t want to break from it. I wouldn’t add anything,” senior Michael Cox said.
