Time is old, but this is new.
It’s odd how the days really flew.
Giving thanks, then spreading cheer,
We’re looking forward with no fear.
The days have shifted to a shorter lapse
As our past crumbles and begins to collapse.
We’ll hold on to every good little thing
But we’re ready to see what the new year will bring.
Our smiles will be real
And we’ll embrace how we feel.
No more hiding in the dark,
This is our fresh new start.
This is the time where we can change
Today, tomorrow, not yesterday.
We can do a lot better
We’ve wanted this to be forever.
But time is change
And this is the next stage.
We may not be old,
But we’ve all got stories that need to be told.
