The long awaited decade arrives

The year 2020 brings a new decade and a new start; a recent survey highlights students’ perspectives on this grand new beginning.

Most students agreed that the year 2020 is slowly turning from month to month.

Hannah Askins said, “2020 has been the slowest year so far. January has felt as long as 4 months.”

January has felt to some as boring or a “a stagnant time soup.” Most actually felt as though time had stopped.

Most students also agreed that their resolutions are falling out of their grasp.

Only 75% of respondents actually had resolutions they followed. Also, only 50% of those actually came to fruition.

When looking into the future, only 75% of students are planning to attend Prom this year. The remaining  25% will then resort to staying home.

Since this new year people have been getting rid of the last year as if it was dirty laundry they didn’t want to clean.

The year 2019 is left behind now, but some students acknowledge that there are a few things that have followed them into 2020 that they wish had not.

Some students mentioned “Tiktok” or even “toxic friends” as aspects of 2019 that they hope do not follow them into 2020.

Let’s leave 2019 in the past and continue into this grand new decade.
